Developers Wanted - Ridiculous $25,000 Signing Bonus or $1000 for a Referred Employee
Well, it’s about that time of year again. It’s a good time of year though. We’re growing; and with that growth comes the need for people, but not just anyone. We’re looking for intelligent, well-minded individuals with a little personality who just happen to be programmers. Oh yea, we’re getting desperate. So here’s the deal:
Refer someone who we end up hiring and who lasts for at least 2 weeks (Just to ensure the fit.), and we’ll pay you $100…no $1000. Seriously.
On top of that, if the programmer lasts for 30 days and everything works out, we’ll pay out a signing bonus of $25,000 contigent on the signing of a 1 year exclusivity contract. (Work for us…and we’ll make it worth it!)
Hell, if all this isn’t enticing you to apply yet. If we bring you in for an interview and we don’t hire you, or you turn the job down; we’ll pay you $500 on the spot anyway, just for trying!
What is this a joke? Absolutely not! Good developers are hard to come by, so if you’re worth it to us; we’ll sure as hell pay to keep you around!
What kind of programmers? Web Programmers to be specific.
What languages? All of them. No Really, ALL OF THEM.
We work in a wide range of languages, everything from python to perl to php and yes, ruby too. Plus, they’re all the same when it comes down to it, so if you know 1, chances are, you can learn them all if you have to.
In fact, we’re also looking for Mac Developers too (spreading that QuickShareIt love), so if you dabble in some Objective C, drop us an email.
What level are you looking for? We have multiple positions open, ranging from junior developers who are still learning the ropes, to senior developers who are ready to dive into our huge code bases and start managing teams.
Where at? The one draw-back here is that this is an “on-site” position only. (Yes, we know it’s crap, but honestly, nothing beats face to face conversations when it comes to discussing a project.) We’re located in New York; specifically, the Long Island area, so if you’re close by, that’s already a huge plus; if not, we’ll move you here and set you up with a sweet re-location package.
Who would I be working for? The best in the business. Over the past year we’ve acquired some of the best individuals from the leading “Web 2.0″ (I hate that word) companies. Our current staff has experience at MySpace, FaceBook, PhotoBucket and Amazon. Which leads me into the next question…
Are you guys worried about experience or educational background? No, not at all. The best developers sometimes never land the jobs because they’re always working on they’re own things. If you don’t have any experience working for a company, don’t worry, it’s not a big deal. If you don’t have a diploma saying that know X, Y and Z…don’t worry, we don’t care about educational certifications, let’s be honest here, they don’t mean anything in this business.
What’s it pay? A lot. Our overhead is low and we’re not greedy people, so salaries are very nice, and we’ll beat any other offer by 10%.
Here’s a look at what we have to offer aside from the great salary (Come on, we all know that’s what it comes down to):
Great Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)
Retirement Plan
Standard Issue MacBook (Run Windows on there too if you’re so inclined)
Young (Our youngest employee is 19 and our oldest is 30 and there’s only 4 of us!)
Trendy Office Space (Only the coolest for a new and upcoming company)
Small Business Involvement (Forget the cubicle, everyone has a hand in the company!)
Where do I sign? If you think this is the place for you, drop us an email at support@twenty08.com with few code samples and a brief resume. (Skip all the “generic” resume junk, we really just want to know if you know what you’re doing, so any way you can convey that to us is perfectly fine. Hell, send us a video resume for all we care.)
Do you have what it takes? …
Hey, sounds like a really good opportunity. I’d love to apply, but heck I have studies to complete ;)
I’ll probably return to this site after some time once I’m done with my studies :) I’ve bookmarked it!
For the record, I’ve been doing web design/development since 1999 and currently I am working as the Project Manager at the offshore centre for a big company. Plus, I’ve got a rating of excellent (9.7 out of 10) at RentACoder with 30 projects. Ah I’m blabbering too much lol! tc!
