A Big Thank You!
I just wanted to thank the countless people who have written in and posted on blogs, forums, etc about how great you think MobileChat is and how grateful you are for us to write it.
We don’t make any money off of MobileChat, it’s open source, so the public response is really what keeps us going. I’ve been personally reading all the comments I can about MobileChat, so don’t think you’re going unheard. Every ping back, every email, everything I can find, I’ve read.
I have to be honest with you guys, when I first released MobileChat, I was terrified to read the reviews. When I saw comments appearing on Digg, I stayed away. I gave 2-3 weeks of my free time to this project, hell, I went away with my girlfriend for a few days and I was working on it in the hotel room (she wasn’t pleased). Half way through the project, another AIM client appeared on the scene, the “first”, ApolloIM. When I saw it, a part of my was pretty upset but you guys have made it all worth it. I must admit, I couldn’t be any more thrilled about how you guys feel.
So again, a huge thank you goes out to everyone who has written kind words about MobileChat… Those of you who haven’t, we heard you and we plan on changing your mind.
Thanks for reading,
Shaun
Hey guys! I’m SERIOUSLY impressed with the progress thus far. This is definitely the only good way to chat on your iphone.
I hate to bug you more about something I’m sure you’ve been bugged about already…but I’m waiting extremely anxiously for the .mac support. I don’t ever use my AIM account besides to test out the new versions of mobilechat. I’ll give you a whole bunch of candy if you get that working!
