MobileChat Icon

Just wanted to write a quick note regarding MobileChat’s development. While I’m currently not on the development team for this project, Shaun’s been doing a great job adding features and keeping everything going smoothly. On top of that, we now have Anthony working on the project as well. They’ve been doing an awesome job and as a result, new versions of MobileChat are on their way very shortly with some cool new features:

Full Buddy Profiles
Better Buddy List Views
Vibrating Notifications
Springboard Message Notifications
Plenty of Bug Fixes
New Icon (Yes, yes…we’re sorry about the 1/3rd of a Duck)
And much more!

Look out for the new update on Installer.app, you should see it within the next few days.

mobilechat has already got to a great start so i cant wait for this new version. i just got my iphone on thursday and it was one of the first apps i installed. keep up the great work!

Hey man, just wanted to congratulate you on this application. I can see it blowing up huge very quickly.

One thing though, not sure if it’s been mentioned before, on the login screen, when I go to tap where I would submit my username, for some reason it doesn’t respond for a good 5-6 seconds before the keyboard finally shows up.

Just thought I’d share!

Tonight or tomorrow guys, i promise.. For the most part we’re skipping 1.1 and essentially going to have a mix of features we planned for 1.2 and 2.0 as well as everything we planned for 1.1

thank god for a new icon. the duck made my whole iphone look ugly so i was using the cehaper version called ApolloIM which sucks really bad

We published 1.2 last night around 2:30am EST.

Just waiting for Conceited Software to update their repository for Installer.app with the update.

For those of you who don’t want to wait and are able to load the app on the phone themselves, you can get it here:

Oh, make sure you kill the old version, or the new one won’t take effect until you restart your phone.

Have it support Yahoo and msn and THEN you’ll have something 1000’s of iphoners will start to use.
