Music Pirating Group “RNS” Ceases

One of the biggest thorns in the side of the RIAA announced recently that they were calling it quits. Not that we here at twenty08 would ever condone pirating music, this bit of news has been making it’s way around the internet. As of the time of this posting, there seems to be no real news as to why they decided to stop after 11 years of pirating, but they ended it with just a few words.

This is an excerpt from the NFO packaged with RNS’s last release, Fall Out Boy’s Infinity on High:

Release Notes:

This is our last release. Enjoy!

Before anyone from the RIAA’s office starts sending me lawsuits, I obtaned the excerpt from RNS’s Wikipedia page (and confirmed with other outlets).

The fallout from this should be interesting. Did they just disband? Were they raided? Will it effect future album leaks? A lot of questions, and very few answers for now.

Feel free to chime in with your opinion!

Meh, I’m sure other groups will still leak albums. It’ll just take longer.
